General Description:
Mesquite
is a remarkable wood known for its beauty, strength and tenacity.
The color and grain characteristics are enhanced with occasional
defects, ingrown bark & mineral streaks. The reddish-brown color
revealed when a finish is applied gives and exceptionally distinctive
appearance to wood cut parallel to the grain. The End Grain cut has its
own beautiful personality of rich brown patterns.

Color: Fresh
cut mesquite will range in color from a blonde, to Light brown to dark
reddish brown.
Color Change: Mesquite wood
will darken in color as UV light interacts with the exposed surface
giving it a more uniform rich mahogany color over time.
Grain: High
in character, with ingrown bark and mineral streaks.
Finishing:
Finishes very well.
Characteristics: Mesquite is a
domestic hardwood that is considerably more stable, more dense and
harder than most other hardwoods. Mesquite is also an
environmentally friendly renewable resource. |
