General Description: This Teak substitute is a favorite of some boat builders because it darkens with time instead of bleaching out like Teak when exposed to weather. It has a rich brown color and interesting grain patterns. Janka Hardness: 1560 Color: Even medium brown color with a tint of yellow and dark veins. Color Change: Afromosia is yellow-brown when first milled and darkens significantly over time. Grain: Grain straight to some mottle; resembles teak. Finishing: Finishes well. Characteristics: Afromosia is a very stable, durable wood that is suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior uses. |
